Governor Gavin Newsom has reversed a parole decision for one of the four people convicted of murdering a 15-year-old Santa Maria girl 12 years ago. Jason Adam Greenwell was convicted of second-degree murder in the death of Dystiny Myers in 2010. The Parole Board granted Greenwell probation in November of last year. Newsom reviewed the case and decided Greenwell still posed an unreasonable risk to society if he was freed.
