As California goes, so goes the nation… That could be the case when it comes to the price of a gallon of gas. At more than six dollars a gallon, California has the highest price for regular in the nation. Followed by Hawaii and Nevada. San Luis Obispo County commuters are seeing an average of 6.25 a gallon. Santa Barbara County is averaging 6.03 a gallon. Analysts at JPMorgan say the national gas price average could reach $6 per gallon by the end of summer.
