A local auto repair shop owner is headed to federal prison. An L.A. U.S. District Judge sentenced john Villa to five months in prison. According to the IRS, the owner of Villa Automotive failed to pay 489,551 dollars in federal income taxes. He pleaded guilty to one count of willful failure to pay his taxes in November 2019. The delay in sentencing was due, in part, to the COVID-19 pandemic.
