Cal Fire SLO firefighters made quick work of a brush fire in Atascadero. Crews responded to a report of a vegetation fore at around 7 o’clock Saturday evening. When they arrived at the scene near highway 41 and Old Morro Road, units worked to keep the flames under control. The fire was doused in about an hour. the fire scorched about an acre. An investigation into the cause is underway.
