A new start date for the Kristin Smart murder trial has been announced. Opening statements were originally scheduled to begin on July 6th. That date has been pushed back until July 18th due to a delay related to a health concern of one of the trial participants. The jury selection for Paul Flores has been narrowed down and could be finished this week. jury selection for his father Ruben’s case should begin on July 11th. Paul Flores is accused of murdering Kristin Smart following a party in 1996. Ruben Flores is charged with being an accessory after the fact.
