Parklets To Stay In SLO

Parklets in San Luis Obispo are going to be around for awhile. While some residents are excited about the ambiance of eating outside, not everyone is happy about the last week’s decision by the City Council. Some say the parklets take away curbside parking spaces and block normal traffic patterns. Then there’s the question of who pays for the parklet? According to the Tribune, because the parklets are located on public property, businesses will be required to pay several fees to have parklets. A business wanting to apply for a parklet permit should visit SLO City dot org.
