Final Election Results Could Be Days Away

Election results could still fluctuate in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties. Elections officials say roughly 50-percent of registered voters either cast ballots in person or returned them by mail. Those that were cast in person were counted on election night. Mail-in ballots still need to be sorted, separated, and then counted. With tens of thousands of ballots still needing to be counted, some close races could be flipped. Both County Clerk-Recorder’s Offices have until December 8th to certify their results.
