Yesterday’s record-setting rainfall turned deadly. The CHP says a woman died when she drove around “road closed” signs on Avila Beach Drive and was caught in floodwaters. A five-year-old boy was also reported missing when the vehicle he was in got swept into floodwaters in the Paso Robles area. Severe weather conditions and safety concerns forced officials to discontinue the search for the boy. Officials they will resume their search for the boy when conditions permit.
