A Lompoc nurse has been recognized for her work helping support mothers through the loss of an unborn child. Angela Fichtner was surprised Tuesday with the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses at Lompoc Valley Medical Center. A hospital spokesperson says Fichtner was nominated for her compassion and care for all her patients.
