Governor Gavin has announced 113 million dollars in new funding for wildfire prevention. The money comes from the California Climate Commitment budget. It will help wildfire prevention efforts in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties, including the purchase of equipment to reduce wildfire fuels. Newsom said the goal is to stop devastation before it happens.
