The San Luis Obispo County Courthouse annex is no longer adequate and desperately needs renovations. According to KSBY, the current courthouse is outdate, small, and a seismically high-risk building. Officials believe a new courthouse would address all the issues. County Supervisor Bruce Gibson says funding would come from the state. Construction could begin in January 2026.
