Two days of hearings about a major San Luis Obispo County housing project have been delayed. The Dana Reserve development would put more than 1300 homes on 288 acres. Developers say the project would include condos, townhomes, workforce units and higher-end homes to Nipmo, while creating jobs in the area. Opponents of the project are concerned about pollution, traffic impacts, population increases and the destruction of the site’s 3,000 native oak trees. New hearing dates were set for October 23rd and 24th.
