Witnesses helped Lompoc Police nab a hit and run driver Friday night. According to a press release, a black Jeep struck a woman and a 5-year-old girl crossing W. Walnut Avenue just after seven o’clock. The driver fled, but witnesses were able to give police a vehicle description and license plate number. Police were able to catch up with Rafael Rodriguez. He’s now facing felony Hit and Run charges.
