Folks traveling to Bakersfield will need to plan ahead for the next month or so. Caltrans says they will be closing Highway 46 in both directions beginning this morning as part of a road widening project. Travelers out of Paso Robles will still be able to use Highway 41to the Five and Highway 46 to the 33 in Lost Hills. The Highway 46 closure is expected to remain in effect until mid-November.
