Grover Beach Police investigators have found the suspect involved in a stabbing last weekend. According to a press release, the victim and 55-year-old Robert Poirier were involved in an altercation prior to the stabbing late Saturday morning. The victim was stabbed on Ramona Avenue, but was found near the intersection of 16th and Grand Avenue. According to police, Poirier had fled to the Kern County area. On Monday, The Kern County Sheriff’s Office notified Grover Beach Investigators that Poirier was found dead in their jurisdiction. No signs of foul play were found. The investigation is ongoing.
