A Lompoc mountain bike club made more than 100 kids’ holidays a bit brighter over the weekend. For the past 16 years, the Village Dirtbags Mountain Biking Club has been giving bikes and helmets to families of service members of Vandenberg’s Space Force Base. According to KSBY, Village Dirtbags teamed with Main Street Cycles of Santa Maria to purchase bikes and helmets at a discounted rate. Club members say the event is designed to show appreciation for service members by giving back to their families.
