A 20-year-old Lompoc man who died last week in an officer-involved shooting has been identified. Investigators say Connor Amador first walked into a Circle K on East Ocean Avenue at around 11:30 Thursday night. He got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and alcohol. Responding officers could not locate him. A few hours later, Amador tried to carjack someone in the parking lot of the same Circle K. The victim was able to escape, but Amador went back into the store to rob them again. When he came out of the store, he was confronted by police, and that’s when the shooting happened. The investigation is ongoing.
