Last week’s big wave event is now being called deadly. According to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office, a 39-year-old tourist and her two children wanted to take some pictures of the waves on Saturday. That’s when she and her children were knocked down by a large wave. Nearby family members were able to rescue the children. Bystanders eventually got to the woman and performed CPR until EMTs arrived. The victim would later be pronounced dead. An autopsy will determine the cause of death.
