A head-on crash near Lompoc left one person dead and another hospitalized. Santa Barbara County Fire officials say the crash happened along Highway 246 near Mission Gate yesterday afternoon. A female driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was taken to an area hospital with moderate injuries. No other details are currently available.
