An Officer-Involved shooting left one man dead in Grover Beach over the weekend. Police say they received reports of a man with a gun at the Chevron gas station on Grand Avenue just before 6:30 Saturday night. When a responding officer contacted the suspect, the man claimed to have a gun and threatened to shoot the officer. According to a press release, the man was given several commands to comply. He continued to advance toward the officer, then raised his right arm with a replica firearm in his hand. The man was struck several times by gunfire. The DOJ is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
