Santa Barbara County fire crews are battling a 1200-acre vegetation fire near the intersection of highways 166 and 33 this morning. The blaze, now called the Hill Fire, was first reported yesterday afternoon. Firefighters attacked the flames from the air and on the ground. Fire officials say the fire was spreading at a moderate rate and moving south toward the Los Padres National Forest. Evacuation warnings are in place. The Hill Fire was last reported to be 10 percent contained.
