Cal Trans officials say a stretch of Highway 1 just north of Cambria should be open by the end of the month. That stretch of highway closed following the rains of 2023, when a major landslide left an estimated 500,000 cubic yards of debris n the highway. The portion of Highway 1 at Paul’s Slide is expected to reopen on Sunday. The total cost for the project is estimated at $60 million.
