Fire Departments across the Central Coast are urging residents to exercise an abundance of caution during the upcoming Fourth of July celebrations. In San Luis Obispo County, Safe and Sane fireworks are only allowed within the boundaries of San Miguel, Templeton, Oceano, Arroyo Grande, Grover Beach, and Morro Bay. The use of Illegal fireworks could lead to a misdemeanor citation and a $2000 fine.
