The City of Santa Maria will soon be getting new pocket parks in the northern parts of the city. Pocket parks are parks that are under one acre in size. The newest pocket park will be on DeJoy Street. Another will be located on Taylor Street, with two more locations to be determined later. Officials say they will include some play equipment and green space. Funding comes from a federal stimulus bill.
