While students across the Central Coast are returning to school, some inmates are graduating. The California Men’s Colony in San Luis Obispo held a special luncheon yesterday to celebrate the inmates graduating from the prison’s culinary arts program. Participants in the eight-week program learned the basics of baking science, food safety, and culinary art. According to KSBY, at least one graduate plans to use his new-found skills in the food industry when he’s released.
