A 13-year-old boy is being called a hero after saving another child at Lake Nacimiento over the weekend. According to a Monterey County Park Rangers Association Facebook post, Lazaro Perez was visiting Nacimiento with his family when he saw a 7-year-old boy fall off a tube near the shoreline. The boy was not wearing a life jacket and sank under the water. According to the Tribune, Lazaro swam out to the boy, located him and, brought him safely back to shore.
