The Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors could be reviewing a minimum wage increase for county farmworkers. According to KSBY, Santa Barbara County farmworkers make an average of 16.50 an hour. Supporters want an increase to 26 dollars an hour. Officials with the Grower-Shipper Association of Central California say such an increase would raise food prices and put family farms out of business.
