A San Luis Obispo County elementary school has been named one of the best schools in the country. That’s the word from the U.S. Department of Education. Last week, Los Ranchos Elementary School in San Luis Obispo was named one of 356 National Blue Ribbon Schools in the United States. According to the Tribune, The award program honors “high-performing schools and schools that are making great strides in closing achievement gaps.” School officials attributed the award to the dedicated staff and faculty and partnerships with families.
