A major fire suppression repair project is under way in areas affected by the Lake Fire. Officials say resource advisors and archaeological staff have completed surveys to ensure to minimize the impacts to sensitive flora and fauna. Efforts will also be made to allow for proper water drainage across fire damaged slopes. The two phase project should be completed in 4 to 6 weeks.
