The former Atascadero barber, found guilty of multiple sex crimes returned to court yesterday. Nathan Abate was convicted last month and is facing a maximum sentence of eight years and eight months in prison. Impact statements were read by several women who said they were victims of Abate. According to KSBY, they all asked for the maximum sentence. Those who spoke on his behalf said he was no longer the man he was when the incidents occurred. His defense attorney plans to request a new trial.
