The victim of last weekend’s assault on a student on Cal Poly’s campus has some students on edge. The victim told police that six Hispanic men between 18 and 20 years old hurled homophobic slurs at him from a white four-door sedan early Saturday morning. They piled out of the car and began beating the victim, leaving him with a dislocated jaw and other facial injuries. Cal Poly Police say they have increased patrols around student housing and an investigation is ongoing. University officials have not released any other information.
