The Five Cities Fire Authority in Grover Beach received a check for 10,000 dollars yesterday. The money will be used to purchase an 18,000 dollar ventilation training prop. It will help firefighters hone their firefighting and life-saving skills. The remaining funding for the equipment will come from the California Firefighters Joint Apprentice Committee program.
