A woman was convicted yesterday of assault with a deadly weapon, causing great bodily injury. Prosecutors say Janine Cesena hit a man in the head and chest with a baseball bat in the parking lot of the San Miguel Dollar General in October 2023. She told investigators the the victim had cheated with her girlfriend. Evidence proved the attack was unprovoked. She’ll be sentenced next month.
