City Of SLO Plans To move Forward With Flood-Reduction Plan

The City of San Luis Obispo is moving forward with its largest flood-reduction project to date. According to KSBY, the upcoming project will increase the capacity of San Luis Obispo Creek to reduce the risk of flooding in the downtown area. In January 2023, the creek overflowed it’s banks and flooded Higuera Street. The project will cost an estimated 13 million dollars.
