The San Luis Obispo Planning Commission has approved five sites for for a proposed overnight safe parking pilot program for the homeless. The approved sites are the Calle Joaquin Park and Ride, City Corporation Yard, Damon-Garcia Sports Complex parking lot, Journey Christian Fellowship parking lot on Foothill, and Renovate Church on Johnson Avenue. CAPSLO, the organization overseeing the pilot program, says there are rules participants of the program need to follow.
