Felony charges against a San Luis Obispo County man who drew a bayonet at a city council meeting last week have been dropped. 28-year-old Kiernan Cottle was facing the felony charge after unsheathing a 20-inch-long bayonet at a Morro Bay City Council meeting during the public comment portion of the meeting. Bringing a knife longer than 4-inches into a public building is a felony. Cottle pled no contest to vandalism charges and is no longer in custody.
