A Santa Maria Group is taking the fight against e-cigarettes to City Hall. “Fighting Back Santa Maria” plans to call for a ban on e-cigarettes. Santa Barbara County officials recently reported seeing a significant spike in e-cig usage among teens. The U.S. F.D.A. calls the issue an epidemic in Santa Barbara County. “Fighting Back Santa Maria” officials say it’s time for residents to take charge of their community. Santa Maria City Staff members are getting technical support from the county in creating a model ordinance that includes all tobacco products.
