The number from the CHP’s Maximum enforcement Labor Day Weekend are in. Officers say statewide, there were 1,078 arrests made for driving under the influence and 21 crashes that left 27 people dead, including three in a head-on crash in Paso Robles Monday afternoon. The Coastal Division made 106 arrests for DUI. Officials say the numbers are similar to last year.
