Trial began yesterday for the Lyft driver accused of sexually assaulting a customer in Nipomo last year. 52-year-old Jason Fenwick has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him. Prosecutors say the victim wound up in Fenwick’s car after her boyfriend was arrested for DUI, and she was too intoxicated to drive. In-home security video captured the alleged assault. Fenwick claims the activity was consensual. He could face life in prison if convicted of all three felonies.
