At least seven people were arrested from a crowd numbering in the hundreds on the University of California at Berkeley campus Wednesday night – protesting an appearance by conservative author Ann Coulter. The protesters blocked the only entrance to prevent people from attending the speaking event organized by the Berkeley College Republicans. When asked about an immigration moratorium, Ann Coulter said, we need some time to assimilate the ones already here, I do believe that anyone can become a great American. Back in 2017, an event organized the campus Republicans, featuring activist Milo Yiannopoulos, was violently shut down by protesters.
