Protesters Return To SLO Streets

Protesters returned to the streets of San Luis Obispo yesterday afternoon. About 200 peaceful protesters gathered outside the County Government building calling on the Board of Supervisors to divert funds away from law enforcement and toward mental health and a variety of community non-profits. Meanwhile, supervisors were holding budget meetings, trying to figure out how to close a multi-million dollar budget gap. A result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office has already been asked to make roughly 2 million dollars in cuts.
