Shark Attack At Montana De Oro

California State Parks officials say a surfer was attacked by a shark yesterday morning. It happened about 100 yards off Sandspit Beach at Montana de Oro. Warning signs have been posted in the area to alert swimmers and surfers of the potential danger. The victim was able to describe the shark as a 15-foot great white. He was treated at an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries to both legs. Officials say the shark may have bitten the surfer and realized he wasn’t what it was looking for.
