Homelessness On The Rise

According to a new report, The number of homeless in California is on the rise, and that includes San Luis Obispo County. The report points out that there are that more than 1480 are experiencing homelessness. That’s a nearly 32 percent increase from 2017. According to the Tribune, the San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors has approved funding more homeless shelters and transitional housing facilities in both the North and south county areas. Meanwhile, Santa Barbara County saw a 3 percent decline in its homeless population.
