Some tense moments for a Santa Maria neighborhood yesterday morning. According to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were trying to serve a warrant at around 7 a.m. on E. Enos Drive. The suspect, who was believed to be armed, barricaded themself inside an apartment, forcing the evacuation of surrounding neighbors. Following hours of negotiation, the suspect was taken into custody and booked into county jail.
