Its been two weeks since Governor Gavin Newsom announced the reopening of California. Since then, the state has reported a case rate of 2.0 per 100,000. Santa Barbara County’s numbers are similar at 1.2 new cases per 100,000. As of Monday, 67 percent of eligible people in Santa Barbara County have had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
