A man who tried to rob a Paso Robles bank yesterday came up short. Police say the man walked into the Chase Bank branch on Niblick Road just before 5 p.m.. He allegedly handed a bank employee a note demanding money and brandished what appeared to be a gun. 46-year-old Andrew Gilbertson fled without any cash. Police caught up with him a short time later near Albertson’s on Niblick Road and taken into custody without incident.
