Santa Barbara County firefighters have a handle on a vegetation fire that broke out yesterday near Los Olivos. Battling the flames with hand crews and helicopters, firefighters have been able to stop the fire’s forward progress. The fire was first reported at around 2:30 yesterday afternoon. The flames scorched about 60 acres before officials lifted all evacuation orders. Officials credit defensible spaces for saving several threatened structures.
