Smoke alarms may have saved a Lompoc family over the weekend. Saturday at around 5:45 p.m. Lompoc firefighters arrived at a house fire on East Pine Avenue. Crews found smoke billowing from the home and audible smoke alarms blaring. All seven family members were able to escape the blaze. One person was injured outside the home. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
