Supervisors To Decide on Redistricting Map

Today’s the day the San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors will discuss two redistricting maps. The new map will determine how the board represents county residents and be officially adopted in December. According to the Tribune, The San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce’s “SLO County 2030” map would keep the five districts closer to their current shapes, although it would make some changes to the current map. The other map, drawn by Arroyo Grande resident Richard Patten would more radically change the geographic makeup of the county’s five supervisor districts. The meeting is scheduled for nine this morning and can be seen on cable channel 21.
