Rose Parade Lands Cal Poly Another Award

The Rose Parade returned to Pasadena California Saturday – a year after the coronavirus pandemic canceled the 2021 parade. The marching bands and floral floats were back this year, despite a new surge of infections due to the omicron variant. Longtime parade viewer Andrew Claus camped out overnight to secure their spot along the route “I love the parade. I love going to it every year. It’s so much fun, all the bands, all the horses, all the floats, especially the floats”. One of those floats was a collaboration between Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and Pomona. They brought home the animation award.
